In Indonesia, as Team Leader on the USAID project Making Cities Work – Innovations in Urban Environment Management, prepared 10 case studies on innovative practices in urban environmental management and finance in Asia. The resulting compendium of studies was widely circulated as part of a “best practices” series on design, financing and implementation of urban projects in solid waste management, waste-to-energy conversion, wastewater treatment, air quality improvement, waste recycling, and medical waste management. All projects were evaluated with respect to their GHG emissions avoidance and reduction potential.
