Mr. Bando and his team identified clean power and energy projects for potential financing by international investors. The projects were evaluated using international technical, economic and financial norms and involved PSP incentives. The results were presented at an investors’ conference in Houston. Mr. Bando facilitated one-on-one meetings between U.S. companies and project sponsors from the LAC region, including Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, and a number of Caribbean countries. The conference established leads for the export of U.S. goods and services (potential US business opportunities in clean technology worth over $18 billion).
